I’ve put up a donate version of AndChat in the Market for anyone who doesn’t mind paying £1.99 for my efforts. If you haven’t got a Google Checkout account or credit card, you can make a donation via PayPal.
For anyone curious/worried, the free version is not a ‘lite’ or ‘trial’ version, the only difference between the 2 is the ‘About’ screen. AndChat will always be free but a contribution is always appreciated.
AndChat doesn’t have scripting support. I considered adding plugin capability but Android isn’t very flexible at letting you load other programs into your own.
It is possible to add a command to send the sysinfo to a channel but this will likely require the addition of more permissions, which for such a small feature is overkill.
Wonderful program. I intend to donate later today. I am interested in hearing how you began android development and how to browse your source.
I started out while at University, based my project around Android and sort of carried on from there. The source code for AndChat isn’t publicly available.
Great program 5 stars but their is only 1 problem how can I autoconnect to multi channel with password, tried couple of times but couldn’t do it, thanks for your program hoping to get an answer

I love andchat thank you soooo much… and I’m glad to see there’s now a donate version so I can give you some money for the app that I love.. One question is there anyway we could have a sysinfo script for the application….? similar to the ones like darkengine and essence that I use in mIRC? Just wondering and thanks again for the wonderful app.
